Israel’s Business Leaders 2008

Israel’s Business Leaders 2008

Dun & Bradstreet Israel has continued its tradition of encouraging management excellence and business quality among the top and leading companies in Israel, by granting an award of recognition to the managers that form the backbone of Israel’s economy and business world.

Moshe Wertheim, Chairman of the Central Bottling Company, and the man who set up one of the largest private plants for the production of Coca Cola anywhere in the world, is this year’s top manager and was the winner of the special award for Outstanding Leadership Excellence at Dun & Bradstreet’s traditional annual event for Israel’s business leaders. Mr. Wertheim, together with Israel’s 10 nominated business leaders and three next-generation leaders, received their awards at a festive event, which took place at Tel Aviv Museum of Art in February. They were chosen for their outstanding business activities, for leaving their mark on the companies and market in which they work, and their substantial influence on the Israeli economy.
Management is an art and excellence in management makes a mark on the business vision of companies, on the team of executives surrounding the manager and on the market and environment in which we live.
This year two new categories were added to the event: a prize for management excellence in education, and a prize for breakthrough and innovation in technology.

From Left to Right: Erez Vigodman, Akiva Mozes, Eliezer Yones, Ackerman Joseph, Reuven Kuvent, Effie Rosenhaus, Haim romano, Avigdor Kaplan, Haim Shani

Reuven Kuvent, General Manager of Dun & Bradstreet Israel, presented the awards: “We thought it is worthwhile adding new elements to the formula for economic success,” he said, “to sharpen our definition into a more accurate arrowhead: management excellence in technology and management excellence in education. I believe that these components represent Israel’s unique advantage over other peoples. Business creativity, entrepreneurship, and leadership are imprinted in our DNA and education leads to technological and business excellence.”
