To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Dun’s 100 rankings in Israel, Dun & Bradstreet decided to begin a new tradition and bestow an award to those presenting notable achievements in two major fields that have become essential elements in today's business world: lawyers and accountants.
Award of Excellence in the Legal Sector
Gad Naschitz - Senior Partner Naschitz, Brandes & Co.
One of the most senior active lawyers and the most respected jurists both by his clients and his colleagues in the profession. It cannot be overstated how well Gad Naschitz is thought of in torts generally and marine law in particular, and he is considered one of the leading litigators in Israel. He set up his law firm at the end of the 1950s, and at the start of the 1980s merged with the firm of Brandes. Since then the two partners have been able to shrewdly expand the firm into one of the largest in the country, and it is ranked in the top ten of the Dun’s 100 rankings for law firms. The firm today provides consulting and litigation services to clients in all areas of civil law including venture capital funds, banking and insurance, topics concerning the environment, and of course torts and marine law. He is known as a just lawyer, thorough, precise and greatly knowledgeable. His clients say about him that he relates to every case that he handles, however large or small, with the same professional excellence. The lawyers who contest with him testify to his fairness and integrity. He has served as chairman of the Association of Marine Law and between 2003-2007 was head of the Torts Forum at the Israel Bar Association.
