  • David Avner started out as a manager with Strauss, moved onto an executive role with Amdocs, and from there joined Partner as VP Operations. In all these positions, Mr. Avner stood out because of his strict self-discipline, his ability to lead, his diligence and perseverance. It was not long before he was appointed the company's CEO, and he has quickly succeeded in stepping into the large shoes of his predecessor - Amikam Cohen. Under the management and vision of Mr. Avner, Partner has continued to prosper impressively. He has nurtured long-term thinking and initiated growth engines for the company's future including: entering the landline market, providing Internet services, cellular content services and VOD services.


    Elisha Yanay has already led Motorola Israel for many years and is considered one of the leaders of the technology industry. Throughout his professional life, Mr. Yanay has dedicated great resources and much time to persuading the Israeli government of the importance of technological education and the need to invest in R&D. Mr. Yanay is thought of as a first rate professional that sees far ahead, and does not let up until he has reached his target. He is in charge of one of the most successful international companies in Israel - the mobile telephone and chip company Motorola. His success in domestic activities has seen him promoted in the company's hierarchy, and he currently also serves as a senior VP in the global corporation.


    Shlomo Yanai, who is a previous winner of the Dun & Bradstreet business leadership award is an eminent manager and strategist, attributes that brought him the sought-after position of managing Teva - the largest global producer of generic pharmaceuticals. Mr. Yanai, a former General in the Israel Defense Forces, chose to embark on a management career after leaving the army. After a preparatory period he was appointed CEO of Makhteshim-Agan, and two years ago he was appointed to one of the most highly respected and coveted jobs as President and CEO of Teva. Under his management, Teva continues to break new records including the recent acquisition of the generic drug manufacturer Barr Pharmaceuticals, thus strengthening Teva's position as the world leader in generic pharmaceuticals.


    Itzhak Nissan has spent his professional life with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). He started out as a systems engineer and progressed upwards through the hierarchy as a result of his professionalism and uncompromising aspiration for excellence, until in 2006 he became the company's CEO. Since his appointment, Mr. Nissan has transformed IAI's business culture by emphasizing economic business management and his work speaks for itself. The company's sales have grown and IAI has raised NIS 1 billion in bonds issued to the public in recent years, and both income and profits have grown significantly. These achievements are not trivial within the context of the competitive market comprised of global political interests and huge companies supported by the major powers.


    Menachem Einan, a former General in the Israel Defense Forces, had a brilliant military career and then became the confidant of David Azrieli, the founder and owner of the Azrieli Group. At the start of his business career he managed Hamashbir Lazarchan before joining the Azrieli Group three years later as CEO, and then he became Group President and Chairman of the Granite Hacarmel Group. Under his consistent and long-term management, the Group has attained exceptional achievements - the Azrieli Center has become one of the most successful business centers in the country, and the Group itself has consolidated its status as the leader in the field of shopping malls. Mr. Einan was involved in the signing of the peace agreement with Egypt, and was a member of the Winograd Commission that investigated the Second Lebanon War. He is considered a man of great discretion who gets to the root of matters - attributes that blend excellently into the management culture of the Azrieli Group and its founder.


    Michael Federmann serves as the head of the Federmann Enterprises Investments Group, which holds a number of companies, the most outstanding of which are Elbit Systems and the Dan Hotels chain, which is the country's most profitable hotel chain. In recent years, Mr. Federmann has succeeded, with persistence worthy of praise, to increase the scale of activities of the Group's largest company - Elbit Systems - both through organizational activities and external acquisitions. Federmann was behind the first large merger in Israel's defense sector between Elbit Systems and El-Op and since then has adopted this successful method through merging Tadiran Communications and acquiring Elisra Systems. Through his vision and strategy, Elbit Systems has become a giant in its field of activity. Michael Federmann and the Federmann family are a symbol of business leadership, and although modest and not obtrusive have been greatly responsible for the economic development of Israel over the years.


    Ronnie Kobrovsky has progressed through the Central Bottling Co. (Coca Cola Israel) from a production engineer via chief engineer to senior management positions. In 1996 he left the head office in Israel to set up a giant Carlsberg brewery in Romania. Mr. Kobrovsky saw expansion into Eastern Europe as a central target for the Group and his plan was to reach additional countries. In 1998 he was asked to return to Israel and serve as the Central Bottling Company's (Coca (Cola Israel) CEO. In 2002 he became the company's President. Mr. Kobrovsky is considered a hard working professionaland man of vision and long-tern strategy who can see beyond the horizon.


    Boaz Chechik began his professional career in industry with Teva, Tnuva and Sunfrost before entering the world of finance. After successful years in industry he managed the Elran Investment company, which specializes in infrastructure and real estate, and then five years ago he became CEO of Cal - Israel Credit Cards. At Cal Mr. Chechik continues to go from strength to strength. Through his thorough and professional management, he has come to be considered as one of the best managers in the Discount Group, which controls the credit card company. Under his management the company has prospered in recent years, and presented a continual improvement in financial results. Cal's positive results in a difficult period undoubtedly emphasize the wise business leadership of Boaz Chechik.


    Avi Fischer is a practicing lawyer in the firm in which he is a partner and has also succeeded in the business world. Fischer is a partner with Nochi Dankner in Ganden Aviation and is a partner and Deputy Chairman of Ganden Holdings, which controls the IDB Group. Mr. Fischer currently serves as Deputy Chairman of IDB and CEO Clal Industries, which manages, among other things, holdings in many companies in the technology sector, a field close to his heart. Mr. Fischer also serves as Chairman of Clal Biotechnology, Fundtech and the Infinity Fund - China. Alongside his success in the business world, Mr. Fischer serves as Co-Chairman of "Matan" and President of "Ametz Lochem".




    Gezi Kaplan was born in Tel Aviv and moved to Kibbutz Lochamei Hagettaot when he was 18, to which he has been bound ever since. 25 years ago Mr. Kaplan led a novel endeavor which involved acquiring a small factory based on an innovative idea - manufacturing meat substitute products by combining soya protein and wheat. This concept formed the basis for the Tivol factory, which Mr. Kaplan managed. Osem, which understood the potential contained in this field, acquired the company's shares and became the controlling party. Mr. Kaplan was integrated into the Osem Group and was appointed Deputy CEO and for the past three years he has served as CEO. Under the management of Mr. Kaplan Osem continues to increase its revenue and profits.
